Benefits begin the month following the hire date. Salary: $135,000 - $160,000 Summary: This position will be responsible for leading a national account team dedicated to our key customers. They will be responsible to meet and exceed annual financial targets. The Manager, National Accounts will partner with Operations, Product Management, Regional Sales Directors and Sales Operations. Travel expectations 50-60%. Essential Functions:
- Accountable for revenue and margin, budget creation and innovation projects while monitoring and tracking product quality, forecasting and creating/executing plans for applicable segments.
- Lead and develop product support or solution planning over entire lifecycle, including pricing strategies, end to end service delivery and sales readiness.
- Provide service requirements into product development stages and phases to drive business improvement.
- Develop strong business relationships at key accounts with personnel above the buyer level culminating in Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with top volume customers.
- Cover account assignment in an effective and efficient manner ensuring proper quality and frequency of needed coverage.
- Collaborate with the RSD's and Sales team to ensure complete coverage of account base.
- Complete, on a timely basis, contribution reports, RFQ's, and Pricing updates for assigned accounts and collect direct reports data to provide to stakeholders.
- Lead team to penetrate all levels of assigned accounts through multiple departments (i.e. buying, logistics, service and replenishment).
- Monitor key performance indicators and present results to internal and external stakeholders of successes and areas of improvements.
- Develop sales forecasts by account and brand.
- Develop and submit proposals for special trade programs at selected accounts as necessary.
- Ensure continuous optimization and process improvement with existing business; develop appropriate strategies and tactics to penetrate and grow the business.
- Proactively identify opportunities for both strategic alliances and/or acquisitions to accelerate market penetration.
- Recommend innovation opportunities that could come from internal development or identification of strategic acquisition targets.
- Work with Marketing and Product Management on competitive products and merchandising practices.
- Prepare and submit reports regarding the operation of the territory, acceptance of products, or competitive conditions as may be requested including Account level POS information.
- Foster an environment of teamwork; emphasize the importance of internal collaboration to meet and exceed customers' expectations.
- Develop a high performing team of Sales Professionals through training and growth of team members within the region.
- Responsible for talent management and employee lifecycle activities, from hiring to terminating.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field. Experience:
- 7+ years sales experiences, with 2-4 years in a leadership position preferred.
