The FBI has a requirement to procure three management and program analyst who demonstrate subject matter expertise to support the counterintelligence mission of the Counterintelligence Division.These individuals will support a full spectrum of counterintelligence, counterproliferation, and technology transfer operations and investigations to include program management administration, training, case investigative coordination, and other related duties as assigned. Conduct reviews and assessments of CTTU focused technology transfer programs and operations. Complete written reports which summarize reviews and assessments in a format specified by the FBI technical supervisor. Address actions by FBIHQ and/or FBI field offices to assess counterintelligence program effectiveness regarding counterproliferation and illicit technology transfer matters. Provide CD management with assessments and guidance in formulating CD policy, resource utilization and outreach to the USIC. Assist CTTU or field personnel in assessing information used in intelligence reporting of counterproliferation or illicit technology transfer matters and make recommendations or corrections as necessary. Identify and report on opportunities and methods to improve case and program management of CTTU investigations, operations, and programs. Assess field personnel training proficiency regarding counterproliferation and illicit technology transfer matters and make recommendations to improve training standards and activities. Participate in counterproliferation and technology transfer conferences and seminars as required by the FBI technical lead. Travel domestically as required. Provide other assistance as needed or as directed by the FBI technical lead.
Role and Responsibilities*
These analysts will sift through collected raw intelligence for identifying particular intelligence and illicit procurement activity for purposes of identification of viable targets for further collection and for operational options by the FBI and USIC partners. These analysts will work with agents and analysts to decide what intelligence should be reported to the USIC. Familiarization with FBI databases, writing styles and positions is also necessary. Both analysts will be handling raw intelligence which requires legal and administrative training. Both analysts could be permitted or required to attend training, whether local or out of the area, travel to field offices and travel to USIC partner locations to assist with intelligence collection or operations, and possibly to attend conferences which could be local or out of the Washington D.C. area.
Qualifications and Education Requirements*
*Possess at bachelor's degree from an accredited university
*Possess a minimum of seven (7) years federal law enforcement investigation or analytic experience, including extensive involvement in counterintelligence, criminal, cyber, or counterterrorism investigations
