Summary
Leads the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing software applications. Manages multiple concurrent projects or initiatives related to the application and its end users. Supports users in understanding complex clinical and business workflows, defining functional requirements, conveying these requirements to colleagues involved in software design and configuration, executing test scripts and user acceptance testing, and providing software support services. Evaluates and documents existing business processes and recommends optimization efforts to re-engineer processes accordingly. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Leads the discussion of business requirements and coordinates the translation into functional specifications for the software application. -Offers recommendations for improvements in data collection, workflow, or other processes. -Develops test plans and performs related software quality assurance tasks. -Develops and executes user acceptance testing plans, including the creation of test cases. -Provides ongoing support for software applications by identifying and resolving issues, often as the point of escalation for more complex issues. -Identifies and recommends leading practices for business analysis, training, and end-user support functions. -Performs data discovery, analysis, and modeling to inform business outcomes and project planning. -Communicates the status of various team efforts to leadership and stakeholders, including preparing presentations. -Mentors and trains junior Staff members. Education Bachelor's Degree Information Systems required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience in the development, support or operation of software applications, preferably in a healthcare setting 5-7 years required and Experience with project management, leading small project teams and projects 2-3 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions. - Proficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff. - Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving. - Proficient oral and written communication. - Proficient analytical and conceptual thinking.
