Position Summary

As a Deployment Strategist, you will be a field-facing expert embedded in the Qualys Cyber Risk Experts Service, helping customers operationalize cyber risk reduction. You'll work closely with cybersecurity teams, CISOs, and frontline defenders to analyze risk data, prioritize remediation, and ensure value realization from the Qualys TruRisk Platform.

Your work bridges threat intelligence, technical deployments, and executive communication. You'll play a strategic role in helping organizations reduce attack surface across hybrid IT environments-including cloud, OT, and enterprise assets.

You'll collaborate with Senior Cyber Risk Advisors, Deployment Strategists, and Product and Engineering teams to deliver timely and relevant insights that empower customers to prioritize and remediate the most critical risks across complex IT and cloud environments.

You will:

  • Help turn cybersecurity data into operational decisions and measurable risk reduction
  • Translate customer challenges into actionable workflows and platform feedback
  • Present insights to technical teams and executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customer teams to identify high-priority risk signals and threat patterns
  • Analyze asset and vulnerability data using the Qualys TruRisk platform to inform risk mitigation strategy
  • Correlate threat intelligence with exploit data to advise on urgency and impact
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and briefings for both technical and executive audiences
  • Guide customers in mapping security gaps to risk frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS)
  • Support technical onboarding, agent deployment, and data ingestion processes
  • Act as a voice of the customer to internal product and engineering teams
  • Participate in threat hunting or risk posture review calls with ROC Analysts
  • Train users and champion adoption across new business units or cloud environments

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2-4 years in cybersecurity, risk advisory, or threat analysis roles
  • Deep familiarity with vulnerability management and risk exposure concepts (CVEs, CVSS, attack vectors)
  • Experience working with large datasets; strong data interpretation skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with executive presence
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-70%

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a SOC, MSSP, or cyber advisory function.
  • Familiarity with scripting or data querying languages (e.g., Python, SQL) a plus.
  • Interest in learning cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, GSNA, Security+, GSEC, GCIA, GMON, CISSP, CISA, CISM, Qualys VMDR Specialist) a plus.
