What You Will Do
Forescout has an excellent opportunity for a strategic and business-focused Customer Reference Manager to join our high-energy, multi-cultural, world-changing team. As the Customer Reference Manager, you'll lead the development and execution of our customer advocacy and reference program. You'll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams to identify and activate customer champions who can speak to the value of our solutions. Your work will directly influence pipeline velocity, brand credibility, and customer trust.
In this role, you will:
  • Build and scale a strategic customer reference program tailored to enterprise cybersecurity buyers.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify referenceable customers aligned to key verticals, use cases, and personas (e.g., CISOs, IT leaders).
  • Create compelling customer stories, case studies, and testimonials that highlight security outcomes, ROI, and compliance wins.
  • Fulfill reference requests for high-value deals, ensuring the right customer advocates are matched to the right opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customer advocates and ensure a positive experience throughout their participation.
  • Ensure all reference activities comply with legal, privacy, and security requirements (e.g., NDAs, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Track program performance using CRM and advocacy tools, and report on impact to pipeline and brand engagement.
What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in customer marketing, advocacy, or reference management in B2B tech or cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and technical buyer personas.
  • Proven ability to create and manage high-impact customer content.
  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, ReferenceEdge, Influitive, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance regulations relevant to customer content.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and optimize program performance.
