Inside the Role

SelecTrucks of America is looking for a salesperson to create new and maintain existing customers. The position requires prospecting by phone, making appointments, visiting potential and existing customers as well as handling incoming phone and lot traffic on scheduled days. Salespeople are required to keep in contact with customers throughout the sales process, and follow up with them after the sale. A database of prospects as well as customers is to be maintained. This is position is geared toward those who enjoy a fast paced, but flexible work environment with a base salary and a great commission structure.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • With the support of management and provision of prospecting tools, establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market to generate new business for SelecTrucks Center's products/programs.
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Works with management to resolve customer problems and complaints.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and utilizing the company customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Achieves sales goals through territory and time management.
  • Hybrid Salesperson will adhere to weekly schedule of inside/outside days and as directed by Center Manager.
  • Schedule is Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA in and prefer 5-7 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Previous Sales Experience
  • Excellent Customer Experience Management skills
  • Customer Mining experience
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills
  • Organized and Self-Motivated
  • An attached resume is required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Automotive/ transportation experience
  • Ability to negotiate in a multicultural business environment
  • Attain Class B CDL within first 180 days of employment preferred
