Overview

Milton CAT is seeking a Business Insights Analyst to join the Product Support Team and help drive faster identification of and response to opportunities. In this role, you'll work with members from the Parts, Service and Product Support Team to draw insights from key data sets. Working directly with Product Support General Managers, you will identify data sets that will be used to create actionable opportunities based on customer and business impact. You will develop, implement, and maintain reporting that helps improve results. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven idea-generator... a curious, eager learner who is willing to ask questions and challenge current processes, ideas and systems.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.

We are recruiting for one open position and have advertised this position in multiple cities within our territory.



Responsibilities

    Develop a deep understanding of Milton CAT data sources and structure.
  • Work closely with Parts, Service and Product Support to evaluate and prioritize data & analytics opportunities for the Product Support Team.
  • Capture, analyze and document reporting requirements for sales targets and corresponding performance.
  • Root casual analysis and modeling of CAT data to expose opportunities for sales initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to create, implement, and maintain tactical reporting using data solutions in Power BI and other data software that are actionable and meet business requirements.
  • Leverage Caterpillar systems for data insights.
  • Recognize opportunities for more efficient and effective data solutions that can improve business performance.
  • Communicate insights, opportunities and related activities to team members and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning training and related meetings, conduct training sessions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data & Analytics, Accounting, Information Systems or related field.
  • 3-5 years of related experience required, ideally as a Business Insights Analyst, Business Analyst or Project Manager.
  • Prior exposure to and working knowledge of Power BI, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric and other data analysis tools required.
  • Knowledge of the large equipment industry is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with users at all levels within the organization.
  • Consistently learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn business processes.
  • Excellent project management, documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient use of laptop and mobile technology with advanced utilization of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Dynamics CE (or other leading CRM platform) and ERP systems.
  • Able to attend in-person and virtual working sessions.
  • Occasional travel within New England and Upstate New York will be required.
