We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of key projects across our Utilization Management and Medical Policy teams. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills. No direct supervisory responsibility. May represent the project manager in meetings but does not make binding decisions. May coordinate work across teams but does not have authority to assign tasks outside agreed scope. You Will Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate tasks, meetings, and deliverables with internal teams and external vendors. Track project progress and report status updates to senior project managers and stakeholders. Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Support project documentation efforts, including meeting notes, status reports, and project artifacts. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders. Help manage project tools and systems for tracking progress, timelines, and resource allocation. Participate in process improvement efforts and contribute to best practices in project management. Your Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Business, or related field. At least 1 year of experience required in healthcare project coordination or operations-preferably in Utilization Management, Medical Management, or Pharmacy Benefits. Proven ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet tight regulatory timelines required. Certification in CAPM, CSM, or PMP or equivalent preferred. Experience with Utilization Management platforms and/or claims systems preferred. Exposure to CMS Medicare Advantage operations preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Clinical background (pharmacy tech, medical assistant, LVN) and/or prior work with part B drug initiatives preferred. Leadership - Basic skills Problem Solving - Proven problem-solving skills Communication - Good communication and interpersonal skills Organization and Prioritization- Managing multiple projects and competing deadlines Collaboration- Builds rapport with medical directors, Utilization Management leadership, and frontline staff Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira). Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Quickly assesses and adjusts priorities to deliver project milestones on schedule. What's in it for you?
