City/State: Bronx, New YorkGrant Funded: NoDepartment: Division Of General OBGYNWork Shift: DayWork Days: MON-FRIScheduled Hours: Hours VaryScheduled Daily Hours: 8 HOURSPay Range: $560,000.00-$700,000.00DIRECTOR, DIVISION of GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY LOCATION - NORTHEAST THE POSITION: Reporting to the Department Chair, the Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology is the physician head of the academic, clinical, research, and educational programs for the Gynecologic Oncology Faculty of the Department. As chief of the Gynecologic Oncology service, the Division Director will build the strengths of the division and its current programs to develop and strengthen its clinical and academic operations, including research initiatives. Working closely with the Chair, the Cancer Center leadership, and the department leadership team, they will develop a multi-year plan that aligns with the Departmental, College of Medicine with its NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Medical Center's strategic vision, goals, and directives. Our current division is active in all aspects of academic medicine. We serve a diverse community in the Bronx, New York, and provide comprehensive clinical care for women with gynecologic malignancy, including outreach to serving the underserved. We are an NRG oncology member and are active in the establishment of sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials as well as translational research. We have an ACGME-accredited Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship, one of the largest Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programs in the country, and a strong commitment to medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The Division offers services at multiple clinical sites and hospital locations throughout the area. The Division Director will oversee the assignments and day-to-day workflows of the Gynecologic Oncology Division's clinical service lines. THE CANDIDATE: He/She is expected to exhibit leadership traits that incorporate accountability and critical thinking, and the ability to anticipate and solve complex problems using focused communication skills. We are seeking a candidate with outstanding abilities in providing clinical care to our patients for both surgical cases and chemotherapy management. There is a preference if the candidate was a nationally-recognized leader in Clinical or Translational Research and has a history of grant funding and/or clinical/translational research contracts. Significant value is placed on supporting the educational training to our fellows, residents, and medical students as well as developing and expanding our clinical and translational research endeavors. Candidates must be board-certified in Gynecologic Oncology and be at the Associate or Professor level of academic achievement. THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have experience and have held leadership position(s) in a similar academic medical center setting. The candidate will bring a successful record of accomplishments in clinical practice and academics, with a preference for clinical research, for these initiatives.
