What You Can Expect Working in the Matador Sales Representative Position

In the Matador Sales Representative role, you are responsible for conducting sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers and also generating leads in the office through online and lead generation tools while updating customer information into a CRM. You will be responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary. You will have frequent communication with customers and prospects.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately records customer information and order in the CRM.
  • Converts quotes into Sales Orders at a minimum of 20%.
  • Coordinates delivery between the logistics team and the customer.
  • Obtains a preferred delivery/installation date at the time of sale.
  • Invoices sale and collects deposit and signed sales order.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to use or quickly learn CRM and other lead technologies, such as LinkedIn.
  • Ability to build strong networks in and outside the organization.
  • Strong verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Business-to-consumer sales experience.
  • Retail sales experience.
  • Metal or Pole Barn sales experience.
