Your Job

FHR Pine Bend is seeking a motivated individual with a solid background in machinery reliability and machinery maintenance practices with a strong interest in rotating equipment to join our Machinery Asset Management team as a Mechanical Planner. This role will primarily support the work-execution pillar of Machinery Asset Management in the planning and execution of major machinery overhauls including compressors (Reciprocating and Centrifugal), blowers, and multi-stage pumps.

What You Will Do

  • Provide detailed job packages (Field repair manuals) for the repair and improvements to the plant's critical machinery equipment.
  • Job plans include all materials and parts management, specialty tools, drawings, services, resources, cost estimation, support craft contractor coordination and appropriate scheduling logic between operations/tasks.
  • Adhere to project planning and execution timelines.
  • Work with multiple groups within the refinery. This will include Field Operations, Turnaround group, Machinery technical group and contractors.
  • Work with OEM and 3rd party vendors for machine overhaul support and rebuilding components. This includes working with the FHR procurement team on purchase orders, sourcing and tracking shipments and status of offsite rebuilds.
  • Utilize previous repair history, lessons learned and personnel feedback to challenge constructability and ensure the appropriate scope of work was developed.
  • Field coordination of overhaul during execution phase. This support will require longer hours and weekend support.
  • Schedule and lead job plan discussions with all crafts and stakeholders.
  • Continuously strive to improve the Special Purpose Rotating Equipment program and the tools that we leverage to plan and track our work.
  • Responsible for managing multiple projects and shifting priorities with minimal supervision by demonstrating proactive and self-motivated work habits.
  • Responsible for fostering effective communication and collaboration across departments, organizational levels, and with external suppliers to support cross-functional initiatives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 3+ years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting or 3+ years of machinery overhaul experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of other Microsoft 365 applications

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 3+ years machinery experience as a Mechanical planner
  • Mechanical engineering degree
  • Compressor repair or overhaul experience
  • In-depth knowledge in reading and interpreting equipment drawings, specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
  • Experience working with planning software

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $130,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
