ABOUT THE JOB



  1. Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the warehouse personnel to maximize the customer's delivery requirements in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  2. Assist with interviewing, hiring and training employees in the warehouse department
  3. Resolve issues with personnel, including disciplinary procedures
  4. Enforce all Wis-Pak policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain high safety standards for warehouse employees regarding forklift and equipment operation.
  6. Responsible for warehouse and dock upkeep;
  7. Organize inventory and storage space.
  8. Ensure compliance with all personal and product safety, Food Safety Plan, housekeeping, GMP's and organizational policies and procedures.
  9. Strong working knowledge of personal computing, including software products such as JD Edwards, Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook. Process and equipment programming, set up, calibration and adjustment.
  10. Work well with other departments and promote good people and team building skills

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have the ability to read, write, interpret documents and problem solve. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have basic computer skills. Have good people communication and team building skills. Must have motivational skills to lead a team in a diverse background. Must have some Manufacturing/Warehouse background. Preferred to have a minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience.

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.




  1. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at every level of the organization.




  1. Ability to competently lead, motivate and supervise others to accomplish company goals.




  1. Ability to professionally handle employee issues, conflicts, discipline, etc.




  1. Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume.




  1. Ability to problem-solve and effectively handle a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.




  1. Ability to gain a comprehensive understanding of company manufacturing processes, equipment, and products.




  1. Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and keyboard, telephone, photocopier, FAX, etc.
