Whatyouwill do:



  • Build relationshipswith current assigned customers to provide value and build market share, increase sales, and increase gross margin.
  • Prospect new accounts.
  • Continuously develop strategies to provide value-add to the customers by understanding their business initiatives.
  • Manage all aspects of the sale of products or services to account base.
  • Reach and exceed monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
  • Collaborate and develop strategies that support the use of our digital solutions.
  • Effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organization, suppliers, and customers.
  • Continually develop product and technical knowledge and utilize that knowledge to assist customers with product selections.
  • Provide customers with quotations or estimates, using the appropriate pricing, credit terms, and delivery methods.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to customers with proper follow-up.
  • Resolve customer issues and order discrepancies promptly, by escalating to the appropriate vendor and/or internal department.



Whatyouwill bring:



  • Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and present solutions to groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write proficiently in English.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables where only limited information is available.
  • Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills which include the ability to operate various software systems.
  • Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.



Physical Requirements and Work Environment



  • Frequent travel and sitting in a vehicle to the customer's place of business or job site.
  • Frequent exposure to seasonal temperatures and fluctuations of inside/outside building temperatures.
  • Requires close vision with computer and paperwork, distant and peripheral vision for driving and product selection, and depth perception for safety in warehouse and building.
  • Requires ability to hear in-person and phone conversations.
  • Primarily light industrial and office work areas.
  • Exposure to construction sites with moderate to high noise levels. Sites may require the use of personal protective equipment.



Salary Range: $70k to $75k

Location: Albany, NY
