The RingCentral Carrier Sales Business Development Solutions Engineer (BDSE) is a technical pre-sales specialist, responsible for partnering with Service Providers organizations to help Service Providers with onboarding to the RingCentral platform and building and expanding their service offering with RingCentral.

A BDSE should have in-depth knowledge on the entire RingCentral Ecosystem and its APIs. including other UCaaS solutions, Legacy voice, data networking, and security.

Primary responsibilities include Service Provider technical business development, service provider technical relationship management and service enablement and training. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to supporting SE collaborative teams, managing service provider feature requests and documenting for product team, lab testing, and continued education on the platform and underlying technologies.

Job Duties:

  • Align with key Carrier and Channel Partners to better understand opportunities and support requirements

  • Provide in-region onsite support for Service Providers

  • Partner with Product team stakeholders to develop and prioritize Product roadmap

  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external aligned Partners and resources

  • Partner with the team to evaluate new technical solutions to meet or exceed prospect and customer requirements

  • Keep up to date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services

  • Support other Sales Engineers, in performing advanced technical presentations for customers, and prospects, both remotely and in-person.

  • Develop and maintain expert understanding of all RingCentral applications and products

  • Represent RingCentral at conferences, industry, and sales events

  • Actively participate as a SME for RingCentral products and technologies

To succeed in this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience serving in the capacity of a Technical Sales Engineer in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment, or equivalent, relevant experience.

  • 1-3 years of experience working in Solution Sales Engineering capacity selling directly to Service Providers.

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a must.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership to the account team and engineers.

  • Ability to teach other members of the team and effectively manage a team of highly skilled Sales Engineers.

  • Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams.

  • Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity.

  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.

  • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Voice, Video, Mobile Communications.

  • Knowledge of VoIP, IMS, and data networking protocols.

  • Understanding of Service Providers provisioning, billing, and integration processes.

  • Understanding of customer communications requirements and business drivers for enterprise business markets.

  • Competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings.

  • Demonstrates the ability to excel at understanding and communicating complex technical solutions and issues.

  • Understanding of software development technologies is desirable.

  • Experience with light project management and resource tracking desired.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement, drive and track projects.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military and/or work experience

  • Willingness to travel across the US and Internationally up to 50% of the time.

If you are hired in California, the compensation range for this position is between $75,000 and $108,000 for full-time employees, in addition to equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
