As a Fleet Mechanic, you are skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, trailers, and construction equipment. You take pride in your work, value safety and efficiency, and help ensure our fleet is ready to support projects across the region.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, union position offering a competitive wage of $37.70 per hour. The standard shift is 7:00am to 3:30pm and includes excellent benefits, such as pension and healthcare coverage at no cost to the employee.

Skills and qualifications:




  • Experience performing maintenance and repairs on Class 5-8 DOT fleet vehicles.



  • Experience maintaining flatbed, step deck, and light-duty fleet trailers.



  • Inspector in compliance with DOT regulations.



  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing small and large construction equipment.



  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (12V DC and 120V AC circuits).



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.



  • Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.



  • Welding skills preferred.



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet vehicle repair and maintenance preferred.




Key responsibilities:




  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment.



  • Conduct annual DOT inspections on vehicles and trailers.



  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and effective manner.



  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring shop safety at all times.



  • Communicate clearly with equipment operators to identify and resolve equipment concerns.



  • Travel to project jobsites to service or repair equipment as needed.



  • Work independently while supporting the broader needs of the construction team.
