Your Impact
You will be part of McKinsey's Ethics and Compliance (E&C) function and will bebased in North America. The E&C function's mission is to manage risks to our firm, our clients, and our people, while also enabling our firm's client impact and innovation. The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of our firm. McKinsey has an E&C program that is structured in a way that ensures that it is well designed, empowered tofunction effectively, and works in practice. Our E&C program includes a clear message thatmisconduct is not tolerated as well as policies, procedures, training, monitoring and consequence management to ensure the program is well-integrated into our firm's operations and workforce. This opportunity works in the Global Firm Practices pillar, which is responsible for instilling trust that our firm serves clients and communities with integrity and adheres to regulatory requirements.
This role reports to theSenior Director, Global Firm Practices and has a dotted line to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer (Global CECO).
You will lead and oversee compliance with our Third-Party Management programs to ensure our firm adheres to all regulatory requirements. You will design sustainable and flexible solutions and processes that will be applied across various third-party types and regions. You will be responsible for building, shaping, and driving a robust and comprehensive compliance program for all firm Third Parties ((Advisors, External Workers, Client Facing Collaborators, Experts, Suppliers, etc.), partnering closely with senior leaders, Optimize/Procurement, Legal and Risk functions.
You will drive the compliance agenda including the continuous evolution of the program based on our firm's risk profile. You will also provide internal visibility to the ever-changing nature of the regulatory landscape and ensure appropriate enhancements to our ongoing programs and activities as needed.
You will support the enhancement of tools, standards, and metrics on compliance matters (e.g., dashboards, systems, testing) and ensure geographic compliance leads have a holistic, integrated understanding of the relevant and specific regulatory areas for their regions and deliver expertise and guidance as needed. You will also provide input on the development of our broader capabilities (e.g., learning, communications, etc.) as it relates to Third Party Management.
As a member of the Firm Practice Compliance leadership team, you will be expected to be a key contributor and thought leader within the function, in addition to driving key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives, as relevant.
You will be required to engage in regionally focused initiatives, such as infusing our integrity agenda, under the direction and coordination of our regional E&C leaders, the purpose of which is to raise awareness of and further our firm's E&C program, and other agreed-upon supporting activities in your region or location.
Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will collaborate with a cross-functional and senior stakeholder group (e.g., Client Service Professionals, Legal, Risk, Optimize/Procurement, etc.,) across our firm in a timely and efficient manner. You will articulate our regulatory compliance obligations to internal and external stakeholders, serving as an expert advisor to the broader E&C community and other stakeholders (e.g., Client Service Professionals and Firm functions).
Finally, you will play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our E&C program and upholding our commitment to integrity and lawful practices.

Your qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree(s) and/ or applicable professional certifications (e.g., Juris Doctor or CPA) preferred
  • 5+ years of deep experience in regulatory compliance matters and broad compliance experiences in large, global organizations
  • 5+ years of experience in building and driving broad, global third-party regulatory compliance programs, especially in a highly regulated industry
  • Leverages highly credible expertise to provide a clear perspective on multifaceted issues and influence others
  • Operationalizes complex priorities across stakeholders to drive impact, develops and communicates a compelling vision, and inspires action
  • Builds trust-based relationships with senior leaders and collaborates generously, becoming a sought-after key thought partner
  • Demonstrates a strong entrepreneurial drive and ownership mentality to resolve ambiguous problems
  • Exhibits exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to drive global projects to outcomes in cross-functional areas and complex topics
