For more information, visit our website at www.kearfott.com Position Description: The Manufacturing engineer is responsible for planning, designing and supporting manufacturing processes for a production facility. This includes analysis of assembly, fabrication, machining, winding and other processes. Maximizes efficiency by optimization of layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Essential Functions: * Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. * Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to establish optimal production systems. * Provide technical support to the production team to resolve issues related to equipment, materials, and processes. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely production operations. * Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to reduce waste and improve productivity. * Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address process deviations. * Support audits and inspections by providing technical documentation and process information. * Support prototyping phase and launch of new products by developing and validating manufacturing processes. * Create work instructions, process flows, and training materials for production personnel. * Support all facets of manufacturing from purchasing, inspection, manufacture and test. Education, Skills, and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics engineering or related field. * 5-10 years' experience with winding components (synchro's and resolvers) preferred. * Solid knowledge of Solid Works, Minitab, AutoCAD * Knowledge of Six Sigma (green belt certification+) * Lean Manufacturing experience * Intermediate Microsoft Office * Excellent communication verbal and written and teamwork skills * Must be bi-lingual English/Spanish * Due to U.S. export control laws under ITAR, this position is only open to U.S. persons, which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and certain protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
