PROJECT POLICY ANL 3 Intl Stdts & Scholars Office Full Time 85360BR Job Summary The International Scholar Advisor position primarily focuses on compliance with federal immigration laws and regulations governing J-1, H-1b, TN and E-3 visas for UCSF Exchange Visitors and academic employees. The position will provide analysis and solutions for complex immigration issues pertaining to academic employment cases. The International Scholar Adviser will be responsible for advising UCSF Exchange Visitors and academic employees, their host departments, and Human Resources on immigration laws and regulations governing to J-1, H-1b, TN and E-3 visas. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $80,200 - $120,300 (Annual Rate). These services include developing inbound international mobility strategies and policies for the University, preparing immigration documents while ensuring adherence to pertinent government regulations, liaising with cognizant US government agencies, advising the international community on visa acquisition and compliance, collaboration with relevant UCSF units and creation of programs that enhance the international community experience. Our direct clients include international students, researchers, faculty, staff and administration as well as the UCSF community that supports them, such as Human Resources, department liaisons and principal investigators.
