What You Can Expect

As the UAT Lead for ENGIE North America's Digital Supply team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that critical software solutions are user-ready and aligned with business outcomes. You will lead UAT lifecycle by collaborating with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and developers to define, manage, and execute UAT strategies across complex software projects. Your work will be central to validating functionality, improving system quality, and accelerating time-to-value for our digital tools and platforms.

Reporting to the Director of the PMO, your day will involve translating business requirements into user-friendly test cases, guiding business users through UAT sessions, and escalating blockers or defects that arise during the testing process. You'll create reusable templates, monitor test progress, and document findings in detail. This role requires both strategic insight and hands-on execution, making it ideal for a quality-driven professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with Product Owners to establish a fundamental understanding of the expected business outcomes that each feature or project will deliver
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and business testers to understand how they intend to test each feature of a project
  • Develop robust UAT test cases that are simple, yet detailed enough to allow business users to complete them with minimal support
  • Create reusable UAT templates that can be applied across various software development projects
  • Escalate issues with the UAT process to Product Owners and Technical Leads to minimize delays in testing timelines
  • Identify and fully document bugs discovered during test execution and communicate clear remediation steps to developers
  • Document testing results in detail, including screenshots where applicable, and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Partner with functional areas to review business and technical documentation, translating it into test plans and detailed test cases/scripts
  • Lead all UAT working sessions with business users, maintaining consistent communication to ensure testing remains on track
  • Monitor outstanding UAT items and provide actionable recommendations to resolve them
  • Track test results against requirements and classify findings as defects, enhancements, user errors, or missed requirements
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business users, Product Owners, and QA analysts

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Technical Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in UAT, quality assurance, or application testing
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a passion for driving continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to clearly articulate system functionality, business needs, and test result interpretations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented working style

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
