Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced L4 Data Center Technician to join our enterprise infrastructure team. This role is focused on supporting large-scale GPU deployments and maintaining operational excellence within a dynamic data center environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting, hardware handling, and cable management in enterprise-level data centers.
Key Responsibilities: * Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on large GPU deployments. * Remove network cables as part of data center decommissioning efforts. * Run, label, and stage power and networking cables. * Execute DBD (Device-Based Decommissioning) removal tasks (no scanning required). * Follow established procedures for installing, diagnosing, replacing, and decommissioning hardware with guidance from Data Center Technician Leads. * Prepare, stage, and perform basic startup and shutdown procedures for hardware using checklists and documentation. * Conduct physical audits of data center assets. Top Skills: * Data Center Operations * Cable Management (Power & Networking) * Hardware Installation & Troubleshooting * Asset Auditing Required Qualifications: * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. * 7+ years of hands-on data center experience. * Strong knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). * Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time across U.S. data center locations. Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent training). * Experience supporting enterprise-scale GPU infrastructure. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Additional Information: * Candidates must be open to working at any Milwaukee-area data center as their home base. * Travel will be required to support other data center sites nationwide once the team is fully ramped up. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
