Job Description

The Special Projects Coordinator (SPC) plays a key role in planning and running special projects, trainings, and community education events for our Behavioral Health department. This position helps grow our services and ensures we deliver high-quality programs by managing timelines, budgets, and partnerships. The SPC works closely with department leaders, staff, and community partners to make each project a success

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead special projects from start to finish, making sure they're on time, within budget, and meet goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations and community partners.
  • Help identify, apply for, and manage new and existing grant opportunities.
  • Track project progress and report outcomes to leadership, including training stats and evaluation feedback.
  • Work with teams to organize educational events and trainings.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and community events with a professional and friendly attitude.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and quality-focused work environment.
  • Stay informed on regulations and follow all company compliance guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Project management experience
  • Basic knowledge of mental health and substance use services
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Public speaking and training skills
  • Ability to network and build relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Organized and good at managing time and tasks
  • Ability to pass Family Care Registry check
  • If driving is required: must meet company driving policy standards

Preferred:

  • Master's degree
  • 3+ years in project management or event planning
  • Experience designing training or educational materials
