MANAGER, CRISIS MANAGEMENT (ZA5802)

About The Position

The Manager, Crisis Management has responsibility for driving consistency and conformity among the various emergency response/recovery plans across the corporation. In collaboration with others, will form the framework for a fully integrated Corporate Business Continuity program. This includes developing a training and exercise regimen, developing a crisis management protocol and team, implementing a watch center and reporting mechanism, and incorporating the business risk management process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop a Core Emergency Plan framework and Core Emergency Plan that can be used to standardize emergency response planning across Ameren while incorporating annexes that allow for differences between hazard specific (e.g. weather, natural disaster, cyber, nuclear).
  • Develop and implement an Ameren Corporate Crisis Management Plan for managing Ameren's response to catastrophic corporation wide incidents.
  • Develop and implement an Ameren Corporate Crisis Management Communications Plan for managing Ameren's "one-voice" response to catastrophic corporation wide incidents.
  • Coordinate with Ameren's Operating Companies and Functions the implementation of the Core Plan framework.
  • Evaluate the preparedness of Ameren, its Operating Companies and departments for responding to different types of hazards.
  • Research and recommend proper tools, equipment, and systems to support the operation of effective response to incidents.
  • Assist in maintaining and modifying, as required, operational plans and annexes in current form and if requested, assist or direct the implementation of such plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other similar discipline preferred.
  • Commitment to obtaining appropriate emergency management certification.
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience in field operations with an emphasis on emergency management or utility public safety or public health.
  • Four or more years of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience developing and implementing emergency management plans required.
  • Ability to work with representatives at all levels within the organization to achieve desired results in the best interest of Ameren Corporation.
  • Ability to think and execute at a strategic level.
  • Excellent leadership, project prioritization, decision-making, communications, organizational, facilitation and human relations skills required.
  • Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-building environment.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations, training, orientation, or initiative material in a concise, understandable format.
  • Represent Ameren Corporation in an effective manner; deliver presentation material to internal and external stakeholder groups including local, state, and federal officials.

Compensation Range:

$108,400.00 - $168,000.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
