Overview

Perform an entry level engineering role in the design or construction aspects of engineering projects and assist other departmental engineers.


Responsibilities

  1. Perform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work.
  2. Shall have a basic knowledge of the theory, practices, and procedures pertaining to engineering matters in one or more of the following areas:
  3. Electrical Engineering
  4. Communications Systems
  5. Automation Systems
  6. Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
  7. Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas:
  8. Substation Design
  9. Substation Automation
  10. Power Systems Analysis
  11. Communications Systems
  12. Electrical Control Systems
  13. Protective Relaying
  14. Develop knowledge of the company-s design, construction, QA/QC, and safety standards and the company document control system.
  15. Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed.
  16. May be required to travel to support work.
  17. Other duties as required.

Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Substation Design
  2. Substation Automation
  3. Power Systems Analysis
  4. Communications Systems
  5. Electrical Control Systems
  6. Protective Relaying

Qualifications

  • Graduate of four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET), Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a minimum of seven years of equivalent experience or related military training
  • 0-2 years experience as a practicing engineer or state registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Proficient in engineering theories and principles
  • Proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $78,000.00 /Yr.
