What You'll Bring:

  • 15 + years' experience in banking and/or consulting, preferably with analytic expertise
  • Bachelors degree required preferably in either a business or analytic discipline.
  • Past leadership experience within a major Financial Services Institution
  • Experience in leading strategic consulting/analytic projects..
  • Experience in managing a significant P&L
  • Ability to manage, mentor and train a high performing team
  • Ability to manage client relationships and operate at the C-suite level
  • Knowledge of Financial Services across multiple lines of business including Cards, Retail, Consumer Lending and Small Business
  • Knowledge of Strategic Marketing across multiple channels
  • Knowledge of Banking Product Development (ex. new credit card products)
  • Strategic perspective and thought leadership, combined with robust verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and decision-making skills as well as comfort with financial planning and quantitative analysis.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex concepts into strategic advice
  • Manage client and business relationships with a sense of accountability and urgency

Impact You'll Make:

This role will act as a key leader of the Argus Advisory Team and is responsible for Client Relationship Management, Deposit Product Strategy and Marketing for the overall Argus Business. This role will partner and collaborate with stakeholders across sales, technology, the Financial Services Line of Business and Solutions. The role will manage a team of senior leaders and analysts. The Senior Director will have the opportunity to lead multiple critical areas within the Argus business.

Client Relationship Management

Overseeing and managing Argus's relationship with key banking client, including leading a team of analysts dedicated to serving this client's needs across Consumer Credit Card, Small Business Credit Cards, Consumer Deposits, and Small Business Deposits. This team is responsible for creating the analytics as well as delivering the work - including strategic consulting. This is the largest client within the Argus business. The Senior Director will interact regularly with senior leaders at the client providing them with consultative expertise and strategic direction.

Retail Banking Business Strategy
Ensuring the development and implementation of strategies and tactics focused on preserving and growing the Deposit study. The Deposit Study is a strategic priority for Argus and this role will be responsible for setting direction for this business. This includes managing existing Deposit clients, as well as prospecting for new clients. In addition, this role is responsible for developing and delivering complex analytical projects and recommendations to Retail banking clients. The role will be responsible for elevating the Deposit business - bringing it to the "next level" in terms of providing enhanced deliverables and strategic direction.

Marketing Strategy
Overseeing efforts to promote and expand use of Argus Advisory services: Producing sales presentations, developing sales training, developing and publishing thought leadership articles, ongoing publication of the Credit Card Industry Report.

  • Manage and develop a team of high performing associates
  • Provide strategic analytics and recommendations to clients. Make action-oriented recommendations and assist in implementation.
  • Interact frequently with C-suite executives both internally and externally
  • Manage a significant P&L for Argus and have responsibility for growth of that P&L
  • Ability to form relationships and influence others at all levels of an organization
  • Lead the introduction of new and enhanced products and services to clients
  • Responsible for having a deep understanding of and experience in all aspects of Financial Services including Cards, Retail Banking, Personal Lending and Small Business Banking - both within the US and Canada.
  • Responsible for new strategy development to be implemented by Financial Services Clients
  • Responsible for Client retention, client growth, revenue generation, NPS results and team engagement
  • Responsible for pricing decisions and proposal generation
  • Responsible for prioritization of resources across multiple teams across TU.
  • Responsible for gathering Voice of Client and Market Development. This would include looking to outside organizations and resources for information.
  • Lead strategic projects in support of client's business priorities Responsible for both maintaining and growing client relationships, making sales and creating and delivering analytics and consulting services to clients.
  • Solve complex, strategic problems in support of client's business growth and profitability

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information : The U.S. base salary range for this position is $166,800.00 - $250,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
