A highly motivated technician researcher is sought to join the Provenzano laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. Our laboratory focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms by which the extracellular matrix and stromal and immune cell populations influence cancer progression. As a fully integrating engineering and biology, we are particularly interested in how these factors influence disease progression to metastasis and resistance to therapeutic intervention in breast and pancreas cancer, and develop new therapeutic approaches. To answer these fundamental questions we rely heavily on genetically engineered mouse models and transgenic mice. In addition, we utilize imaging, cell culture, and cell and molecular biology techniques. This represents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work and learn in a tight-knit team and directly contribute to the study of relevant problems in cancer. Qualifications
