Position Summary

FedData Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a motivated individual driven by mission-critical objectives, curiosity, and the drive to push the boundaries of the status-quo in science and engineering. This position will expose the candidate to the development and implementation of the most complex algorithms in the field of Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing. The candidate will learn the inner workings of generative AI, symbolic AI, as well as modern machine learning ML, and how to apply them in a parallel computing environment. Particular attention will be placed on a staged technical and professional growth of the candidate with effective didactic methods based on "experiencing" AI and HPC methods development in depth. This is a position enabled to grow the professional stature of the candidate above and beyond what is generally provided in academic settings.



Essential Job Functions

The candidate will develop software, using Agile Software Methodology to contribute to the development of AI and HPC functionality within FDTS, that includes generative AI applications as well as HPC systems design and benchmarking. This is a position that enables the professional stature of the candidate above and beyond what is generally provided in academic settings.

    Basic programming and algorithms development, knowledge of Python is a plus
  • Notions of high-speed networking, high performance computing, and parallel data storage
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system at a user level and being able to effectively interact with the system
  • Notions of applied mathematics, including linear algebra and numerical methods as taught in an undergraduate curriculum in a computer science department
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development


Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must have a Top Secret Clearance and be willing to earn a Top Secret with Full Scope Poly.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science earned by Sept 2025 is required.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
