Description As the Lead Epic Analytics Developer, you will spearhead the technical development of enterprise-class data assets, including reports, visualizations, dashboards, and data extracts, to support business insight and decision-making for the Epic Cogito and Clarity applications. You will produce and analyze reports to address significant business issues, combining quantitative and qualitative data with subject-matter expertise to deliver clear, actionable insights. Your role involves leading efforts to ensure that Epic report writing tools and outputs are effective in providing comprehensive and insightful recommendations based on data-driven findings. Leads the development efforts of BI solutions architecture that accurately translates business requirements to technology solutions and ensures the design will meet business requirements throughout the lifecycle of a change
Qualifications

Minimum Work Experience



  • 10 years Requires deep functional knowledge with 10 years of related experience in the creation and maintenance of reports and visualizations. (Required)


Required Skills/Knowledge



  • Experience with relational database concepts, querying and analyzing EMR data using SQL for data extraction, manipulation and reporting.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, MicroSoft Power BI.
  • Expertise in OLAP, Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL, PLSQL, XML, HTML
  • Experience with Data Modeling; Python (programming Language); Quality Assurance; SQL (Programing Language).
  • Experience with Analytical Techniques; Business Analysis; Quantitative Analysis; Rist Analysis; Root Cause Analysis; Statistical Process Controls.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills - Expertise in analyzing complex technical and functional issues, troubleshooting, identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, deliver clear and concise documentation, and engage diverse stakeholders in meaningful discussions.

Required Licenses and Certifications



  • Epic Certification Requirement: This position requires that the appropriate Epic certification be successfully obtained and maintained for the assigned area of responsibility within 6 weeks of completing training or obtained prior to hire or demonstrated through work experience. 60 Days, (Required)


Functional Accountabilities



  • Overseas the technical execution of business analysis activities to enable technology solutions that adequately fulfill strategic business needs and objectives
  • Leads the execution of long-term strategic goals for Epic report development in conjunction with end user, management, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts extensive research and makes expert recommendations on Epic products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Collaborates with stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and IT professionals, to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable reports within the Epic EHR system.
  • Develop, customize, and maintain Epic reports using tools such as Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, and other reporting modules to extract and analyze data. Leveraging multiple Epic data models.
  • Leads the design and creation of visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and metrics.
  • Performs and overseas data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies in data extraction, transformation, or report generation processes.
  • Lead collaboration with the Epic team and other stakeholders to optimize and streamline reporting workflows and processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Epic reporting functionalities, features, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Provides timely and appropriate communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users on issue status and resolution
  • Leads the team in providing training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize and interpret the reports generated.
  • Document report specifications, data sources, and methodologies to maintain an organized and accessible repository of reporting assets.
  • Coordinates and maintains an organized report and standard definitions library for easy access and reference for stakeholders
  • Collaborates with both Enterprise Architecture and Solutions Architecture on the solutions/service design to ensure it conforms to enterprise architectural standards for future roadmaps.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
