Reports To: Regional Vice President Position Summary Responsible for building long-term relationships with the Architecture & Design community, creating interest in and awareness of Teknion products and services as solutions for their clients' requirements. Contributes to sales revenue through the initiation of client consideration of Teknion product and acts as a results-driven member of the Teknion sales team. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Sales
- Identifies and builds relationships with architecture & design firms within local markets, with a focus on a select group. Makes initial contact with potential companies to introduce Teknion's products.
- Identifies new account opportunities. Leads and directs selling activity of assigned strategic firms in key market segments.
- Builds interest in Teknion products and gains project opportunities through strategic coverage of the design community and creative education programs and events.
- Participates in client visits to enhance the customer experience.
- Supports the sales process by:
- Coordinating services for the client (project management, CAD, etc.)
- Providing samples for clients
- Presenting products from the initial luncheon presentation to the final mock-up evaluations
- Recommending a pricing strategy
- Reviewing specifications prior to submission to a design firm
- Acting as the director of team activities with the RVP to ensure Teknion success/sales.
Product Application
- Acts as a product application specialist for A&D clientele, positioning Teknion with an advantage against the competition.
- Ensures firms are updated on new product offerings including binder updates and product training
- Responds to technical questions concerning product application
Implementation of National Strategy
- Directs implementation of programs in support of national A&D strategies and follows process to measure performance against plan.
- Work closely with regional District Manager to discuss current opportunities, project strategies, provide updates on new business development, active prospects and ongoing project opportunities.
A&D Firm Education
- Develops, implements and manages calendar of events for the market including the hosting of speakers, scheduling of internal and external specialists, webinars, CEU's and client lunches.
- Prompt, reliable and regular attendance.
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively participates in design association and design community events i.e. AIA, IIDA, ASID, etc.
- Complies with corporate/operations processes and procedures including maintaining project report and activity report in Salesforce.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested by Regional Vice President.
- Manages activities within assigned expense budget and continuously looks for ways to provide maximum impact with minimal cost.
Experience, Skill and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Assertive and confident professional posture; ability to work independently and represent Teknion in a professional manner.
- Strong product knowledge with ability to keep current with new products in the company and the market.
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to tailor presentations to the target audience.
- High personal performance standards, results-oriented and strong thirst for continuous learning.
- Proven ability to network and build relationships with key A&D influencers.
- LEED Certification or willingness to pursue such.
- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment at all levels of the organization while building long term relationships with customers/partners and striving to establish relationships at the senior decision-making levels within an organization.
