IDS/Research Pharmacist, Oncology

As an integral member of the Research Pharmacy team, you'll work closely with study teams, physicians, and other staff to manage investigational drugs in strict alignment with study protocols. Reporting to the Pharmacy Supervisor and Pharmacy Research Manager, you will perform various pharmacist functionspertainingto investigational drugs and clinical research. Some of these functions include:

• Conduct all protocol-related duties including: study set-up, drug dispensation, study monitoring, close-out activities
• Perform IV and PO medication dispensing activities to deliver outstanding patient care
• Support the Pharmacy Supervisor in ensuring compliance to rules, policies and regulations
• Oversee support staff
• Cultivate and model professional, collaborative relationship with pharmacy staff, medical professionals, support, and administrative staff
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving and organizational skills
• Adapt to the challenges of a rapidly changing health care environment
• Advance a patient-centric focus to treat illness with integrity, innovation, and commitment

Schedule: Varied shifts, depending on department needs (Monday-Friday). Required to have the ability to travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health.

Hourly Salary Range: $85.87 - $100.58 (Union represented, step based salary depending on years of experience)

Bargaining Unit: HX-UPTE

We're seeking a strong, independent clinical leader with current California Pharmacy licensure, a PharmD degree and:

• Strongcommunication, organizational, prioritizing, and follow-through skills
• Experience with clinical trials and investigational drug services (preferred)
• Knowledge of good clinical practice and human subjects protection (preferred)
• Experience in Oncology (preferred)
• Experience in IV sterile compounding (strongly preferred)
