About The Role:

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer role involves leading geotechnical engineering projects from planning through execution. You will provide technical direction and mentorship, oversee project management and financial performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, on-time results. This role is both client-facing and team-driven, with a strong focus on growing business opportunities and developing geotechnical staff.

* Technical Oversight: Lead geotechnical investigations, foundation and earthen structure analyses, and seismic site assessments.
* Project Management: Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing geotechnical engineering team.
* Client Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering reliable solutions and responsive communication.
* Business Development: Support pursuit of new projects and markets through proposal preparation and strategic growth initiatives.

About You:

* You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, Mining, or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
* You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
* You have at least 5 years of experience managing projects and teams
* You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license
* You have the ability to develop and grow business opportunities through client interaction and industry engagement

Are You Willing and Able to:

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:

* Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
* Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
* Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
* Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
* Traveling, including overnight assignments, as necessary
