Staffmark is seeking an experienced CAD and CAM Programmer for a direct hire position with a top-tier manufacturing partner in East Windsor, CT. This is your chance to work with an innovative leader specializing in complex aerospace engine components.
We are looking for a highly skilled CNC programmer with expertise in MasterCam, NX/Unigraphics, and SolidWorks who can drive design-to-production processes and lead continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software: MasterCam, NX/Unigraphics, SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining fundamentals and metal-cutting processes
  • Advanced math skills (algebra, geometry, calculus)
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Experience with multi-axis or multi-spindle CNC machines preferred
  • Proven time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Team leadership experience is a plus



Key Responsibilities:



  • CAM Programming: Create, modify, and optimize CAM programs using MasterCam and NX for precision aerospace components.
  • Tooling & Fixture Design: Design custom tooling and fixtures with SolidWorks to support efficient and accurate machining operations.
  • Engineering Documentation: Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation to ensure accurate production.
  • Tool & Fixture Specification: Select and specify cutting tools and fixturing for both new and existing jobs.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and enhance machining processes by adjusting G-code, speeds, feeds, and tool paths for maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Purchasing, and Scheduling teams to ensure seamless production flow.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle times, and boost efficiency in CNC machining operations.



Work Environment:



  • Active presence on the shop floor: standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Required use of safety equipment (glasses, shoes, etc.)
  • Exposure to manufacturing machinery and shop noise
  • Use of computers and touchscreen systems for job tracking and data entry

Salary | $80,000 - $125,000

Schedule | Monday - Friday (8 - 10-hour shifts)
