Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers.

Summary:

The Computer User Support Specialist will provide Tier I and Tier II helpdesk support while contributing to the design and implementation of high-quality operating system components. This role requires a strong understanding of operating system internals, file systems, memory and CPU management, and hardware architectures. The ideal candidate will work closely with project leads and engineers to analyze data, propose solutions, and support a wide range of IT assets and platforms.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide Tier I and Tier II technical support for end users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Gather and analyze technical data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and propose and implement effective solutions.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of operating system components, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
  • Work closely with project leads and engineering teams to support system integration and deployment efforts.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of file systems, memory and CPU management, compression algorithms, and device drivers.
  • Support and maintain systems across multiple platforms and hardware architectures.
  • Document support procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in user support and systems administration.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with file systems, memory/CPU management, and hardware components.
  • Experience supporting a wide range of IT assets and end-user platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of in-depth experience.
  • IAT Level I Certification
  • Must have Top Secret (SCI Eligible)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in federal or defense environments.
  • Industry standard technical certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $68,000.00 to $76,500.00 annually.
