Location Fort Novosel, AL Job Posting No Req. 111615 , Pos. 113285 Start Date TBD Contract FT Rucker AMS Salary Range DOE Posting Date June 30, 2025 Union No FLSA Status Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 Support Services (M1) is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor for AMSS to support our Fort Novosel AMS Contract. This position reports to M1's Fort Novosel AMSS Production Manager. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Manages/coordinates scheduled/unscheduled aircraft structural maintenance and production activities in the back shops. * Ensures maintenance work orders to meet TAT in accordance with the PWS. * Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft and back-shop maintenance. * Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to aircraft and back-shop maintenance. * Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools and equipment are available for planned work and shift coverage. * Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime. * Applies Company policy and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees. * Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs. In addition, the candidate should possess the following requirements: * Five years of supervisory experience, 5 years of back shop experience preferred, 12 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably in a military environment. * Five years' experience in Machine Shop environment, with two to three years in a lead or supervisory role. * Familiarity with Aerospace alloys and how they machine a plus. * Understanding of repair methods and the manufacturing of structural components, bushings, bores, repair fittings, and threaded features using Machining tools. * Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS. * Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and quality control procedures in an Army aviation environment. * Ability to interpret Aerospace Technical Drawings and Tolerance Standards. * Possess an understanding of precision measuring instruments. * Must possess competent computer skills. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft. * Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude. Education/Certification: * High School Diploma mandatory; Bachelor Degree in related field preferred.
