Designs, develops, and delivers training solutions and learning interventions for the various programs and positions at Boys Town. Coordinates and monitors various training workshops throughout Boys Town.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Develops and delivers training and assists in managing the operational aspects of training.
- Serves as a liaison for all training needs across the organization.
- Provides oversight and quality assurance of on-site training services.
- Evaluates and provides feedback to employees undergoing training.
- Presents, supervises, and monitors the quality of trainings, workshops, role play groups, and sections for accuracy and consistency.
- Works in collaboration with Instructional Designers and content experts to develop and revise training content and support materials. Researches topic areas and provides input to update current materials.
- Produces and presents training programs, workshops, or projects.
- Facilitates the training of professional instructors, program supervisors, administrative leaders, and employees.
- Delivers classroom training and consultation, including physical demonstrations and practices of safety holds for crisis management and intervention.
- Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and data collection systems.
- Develops and maintains up to date training for the different programs and positions in Boys Town.
- Ensures training supports the Boys Town model and complies with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements such as COA, Joint Commission, contracts and state licensing requirements.
- Travels to Affiliate Sites to conduct training and to consult with and observe staff.
- Drives a Boys Town vehicle to conduct Behind the Wheel Training to employees.
- Coordinates and monitors the implementation of site-based training systems.
- Delivers training and consultation as needed to Home Campus, Residential Treatment Center, In-Patient Psychiatric Unit, Affiliate Sites, Healthcare and Support Services areas.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate with employees, trainers, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence.
- Ability to research, plan, organize, and conduct training programs, seminars, and conferences.
- Ability to design and develop material for new training programs.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees.
- Strong planning, organizational, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, and Access).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Psychology, or a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative or training experience is required.
- Maintain credentials to train courses requiring special qualifications required.
- Available to travel required.
- Ability to provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed) to complete travel requirements of the job required.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience with the application of the Boys Town Model (or similar program) or in a Healthcare setting is preferred.

- Position requires moderate physical activity on a regular basis and extensive physical activity on an occasional basis. Extended periods of time standing or walking in a classroom environment when teaching a class, other time spent at a keyboard, workstation, or desk. Must have sufficient mental acuity and physical strength to perform all job requirements without compromising health and well-being of self or fellow employees. Must have sufficient mobility to actively demonstrate and participate in safety procedure demonstrations, including the ability to push, pull, reach, reach overhead, bend, and squat with ease. Typically handles average weight objects up to 20 pounds. Work is typically in a normal office administrative or classroom environment but may be performed in a variety of environments in both indoor and outdoor settings.
