Job Summary:

The Sr Director, Global Sales Operations role is critical in driving sales performance, scalability, and operational excellence across all regions. Responsible for designing and managing the systems, processes, analytics, and infrastructure that support our global sales force in achieving their revenue and growth objectives. This role will be responsible for providing outstanding sales reporting, analysis and insights. The role is also central to ensuring product availability and to support the demand planning process. The position will work closely with Finance and Operations teams to develop and enhance processes systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the global sales operations strategy in alignment with corporate goals and growth targets.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on sales performance, commercial execution, and go-to-market optimization.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across sales processes.
  • Ensure consistent global sales methodologies, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Manage sales territories, coverage models, and quota setting to optimize productivity.

Data, Analytics, and Insights

  • Lead the development of sales performance dashboards, KPIs, and business insights.
  • Provide forecasting support and ensure high-quality sales pipeline and revenue projections.
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve sales effectiveness, customer targeting, and deal conversion.
  • Evaluate and implement technology platforms (e.g., CRM, CPQ, BI tools) that enhance sales productivity.
  • Standardize and streamline global sales operations processes and policies.
  • Ensure data governance, CRM adoption, and alignment with marketing and customer success operations.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team across the commercial excellence functions fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development.
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior executives on commercial strategy and execution.
  • Mentor and develop talent within the organization, creating career paths and succession plans for key roles.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, HR, IT, and Commercial teams to align sales goals and strategies.
  • Support pricing strategy, contract management, and compliance for global sales teams.
  • Lead global sales operations governance and cadence (e.g., QBRs, pipeline reviews, forecasting cycles).

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15-20 years of progressive experience in commercial operations, sales effectiveness, business planning, or related fields.
  • 10+ years in a senior leadership capacity with cross-functional team management responsibilities.
  • Prior experience working for a large manufacturer of healthcare products is highly desirable.
  • Deep expertise in CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Clari, Anaplan), business intelligence platforms, and planning systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in dynamic, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to align senior stakeholders and drive organizational change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, or MedTech industries.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $200,000 - $245,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 25% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Domestic and International travel required.
