Scope of role

The Sales Development Representative - Technology & Digital Solutions is responsible for identifying and navigating potential customer leads, generating new business opportunities, and working with the team to build stronger relationships and share of wallet for Regal Rexnord & Perceptiv. This role will work closely with Perceptiv's sales team to execute commercial sales strategies, prioritize and map customer accounts, navigate & influence decision makers, and help to hit our company's goals. This role is responsible for direct lead generation of strategic customers, by including but not limited to communicating and co-selling with multiple sales teams, coordinating strategy for tradeshows, webinars, trainings, value proposition messaging, and VOC analysis. The Sales Development Representative will work closely with our Perceptiv sales team, our industry and strategic sales teams, channel partners, and OEMs to build stronger relationships and generate opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial business development with a record of accomplishment in connecting with clients. They must be able to navigate through the Regal Rexnord system with strong interpersonal skills, to ensure transparency and co-selling efforts. Other key traits to possess are a strong drive for execution, competitive winning attitude, strong organizational skills, ability to adapt, and take ownership of an opportunity. Perceptiv is a fast-paced, high-growth business and this person will be crucial in accelerating that growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically identify and generate new business opportunities for Perceptiv
  • Establish relationships with key industry contacts, plant and corporate, to enhance Perceptiv's relationship and win more share of wallet
  • Generate leads through intracompany relationships and strategic accounts, leveraging Regal Rexnord's broad install base across our Industrial Powertrain and Automation & Motion Control customers
  • Generate leads through proactive high volume outreach, both cold and warm, with our strategic target accounts via email, phone calls, LinkedIn messages, etc.
  • Schedule appointments for Perceptiv Business Development Managers
  • Own, develop and execute strategy for converting end users with Connectable Equipment full Perceptiv platform and service customers
  • Manage and update lead and client interactions through Salesforce
  • Collaborate with sales team to enhance sales tactics
  • Create and execute our tradeshow customer strategy - outreach and planning
  • Stay up to date with VOC and consistently report to leadership for industry developments
  • Understand and articulate Regal Rexnord value statements to all customers and be able to identify and connect opportunities for our core products
  • Understand and articulate Perceptiv's value statement and differentiators to all customers
  • Continuous improvement and ownership of our ideal customer profile
  • Account management and decision tree mapping
  • Possess strong organization and presentation skills to ensure outstanding customer and internal experiences
  • Collaborate with Regal Rexnord divisions to convey Perceptiv value proposition and grow sales of offerings
  • Support evaluation of new markets, offerings, and industries, and be a value-added leader to develop strategic plans and new growth initiatives
  • Live and execute Regal Rexnord core values daily

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years' professional experience preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with professional lead generation and business development preferred
  • Experience developing cold and warm leads required
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing and reliability marketing is strongly preferred
  • Possess strong business and marketing acumen with an understanding of how to drive awareness, positioning, and adoption in an industrial, distribution focused business
  • Strong knowledge of lead generation tactics, ability to navigate tools to create ROI
  • Team player who can lead cross-functional teams and collaboration to accomplish goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive for success
  • Leads by example, demonstrating the highest standards of integrity, ethical conduct, commitment, and performance within Regal Rexnord
  • Record of accomplishment developing high level relationships within a large, complex organization
  • Strong background in soliciting customer feedback, interpreting results, and strategically implementing changes
  • Ability to think critically and objectively about what is/is not working and adjust accordingly
  • Ability to candidly and succinctly voice opinions while managing relationships and team dynamics
  • Ability to bring innovative ideas and strategies to bear; not afraid to challenge status quo

Travel: 20% - 30%

Location: Ideal is based in Milwaukee HQ as Hybrid role. Will consider fully remote for right candidate.

$80,000 - $120,000 + bonus potential
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization
