Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for directing and managing projects from conception through completion. This includes planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The role requires coordination with various stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals. The position will lead the development of the Talent Management modules in HCM Cloud. The objective is to create a learning platform that embraces employee development, supports performance management, tuition aid, leadership development, features state-of-the art technology and training methods that supports all learning styles. The ultimate goal is to assure that the new modules for Learn, Performance Management Tuition Aid, Compensation and Career Development meet the needs of the business and function properly; assure that any new requirement is properly assessed and that system testing, troubleshooting and documentation protocols are maintained.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business needs in collaboration with pertinent stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents, ensuring that all tasks are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Assess how to functionally implement new or changing business requirements within the application.
  • Develop functional specifications to document system enhancements, interfaces and business processes.
  • Gain business owner or vendor concurrence on requirements.
  • Develop test plans, test scripts and execute tests to support system patches and updates; system upgrades/enhancements and defect resolution.
  • Analyze defects; test corrective action and validate corrections moved to production.
  • Help core users understand how the system works and assist with resolving operational issues.
  • Maintains functional documentation for the Talent Management modules (Learn, Tuition Aid, Performance Management, Career Development).
  • Make recommendations for improving module design and implementation resulting from changing business or technology requirements.
  • Work with teams to develop white papers and/or presentations.
  • Manage project and team costs against plan while developing project and annual budgets.
  • Coordinate internal resources and manage System Integrator relationships.
  • Developing the scope, plan, and design of each element of the project related to Talent Management modules identifying activities, processes, and systems for improvement.
  • Promote and grow a strong learning culture by creating and nurturing relationships with L&I teams, Talent Management team, TLC team, Employee Hub Team, and others across the enterprise to achieve desired project goals.
  • Collaborating with our Stakeholders to respond to changing or developing needs for future learning optimization initiatives.
  • Track costs and activities, manage budget and schedule performance, and handle changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Partner with overall project manager in planning and road mapping, including analyzing technology components for vendor support and cybersecurity compliance. Develop strong relationships with Information Technology team to influence positive project outcome.
  • Supports the post implementation of the Employee Hub Learning Module.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree and minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience within Human Resources, Learning, Education, Technology, Project Management, and/or Learning Transformation, or
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum six (8) years of relevant work experience within Human Resources, Learning, Education, Technology, Project Management, and/or Learning Transformation.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership, required.
  • Proven learning agility to understand and implement new processes and/or technology, required.
  • Ability to work flexibly on multiple assignments with changing priorities while staying on schedule and within budget, required.
  • Proven Project Management leadership, required.
  • Must be experienced in leading, motivating and developing others, required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude, required.
  • Familiarity with learning & inclusion and human resources business processes, required.
  • Must be experienced assessing business requirements, developing recommendations for process and system changes, required.
  • Must be able to develop long term plans and priorities and develop annual project budgets, required.
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, good communications, presentation and project management skills, required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook), required.
  • Proven skills in conducting discovery, design, and implementation of LMS/Learning Ecosystems, along with knowledge of learning management systems and applications, preferred.
  • Familiarity with career development programs, succession management, and tuition aid programs, along with proven skills in change management, preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent, preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with HCM (Oracle), preferred.

Physical Demands

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
