Summary:

The LMSW Social Worker will provide services to families at the NEST Center on their post-NICU journey. The Social Worker provides ongoing supportive counseling aimed at maintaining the functional behavior of families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement to support the family's effort in caring for their child in either the ambulatory or inpatient care setting. The goal of the NEST program is to provide comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, and family-centered care designed to support the developmental, medical and psychosocial progress of each child and their family through five years of life. We want to ensure that every NICU graduate has the opportunity to reach their fullest individual developmental potential.

Hours: 8:30 am - 5pm Mon-Fri

Required Qualifications

  • MSW or MSSW from an accredited school.

  • Current LMSW Licensure with the state of Texas.

  • Basis Life Support (BLS) Certification for Health Care Providers required within 30 days of employment.
