JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
The Manufacturing Program Supervisor works with the Research & Development and Manufacturing Engineering teams to provide prototypes of new products. This role essentially leads the "kickoff" process for the design of new products and delivery of their manufacturing specifications to Production. Direct and oversee the work of technicians, help develop scorecards and provide feedback on training methods for the global enterprise training team. The role is responsible for monitoring the quality, quantity, and motivation of the department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the "kickoff" process for the design of new products and delivery of their manufacturing specifications to Production
- Coordinate new product/process design.
- Identify and address production procedure design concerns from employees or corporate. - Responsible for employee work direction, productivity reports and project completion.
-Encourage and support employee involvement for continuous process improvement.
-Coach and support employee development
-Conduct employee reviews in a timely manner
-Handle employee (document) disciplinary problems, up to and including termination - Establish quarterly meetings with the production manager. Schedule quarterly department and one-on-one meeting
-Document employee performance to aid in 1-on-1's and reviews. - Coach and mentor employees to create a collaborative and enabling work environment
- Create and drive project schedules, delegate tasks, monitor schedule progress, and ensure that the goals and priorities of each project are completed
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: 4-year college degree in Business or Engineering
Experience
- 1-year supervision/management experience required; 3-5 years desired.
- Hearing aid manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge / Technical Requirements
- Knowledge of hearing aid production preferred
Competencies, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards required.
- Ability to work well in teams and as a team member required.
- Ability to follow instructions required.
- Good communication skills - verbal and written and reading comprehension requi
- Good computer skills required; knowledge of Excel preferred.

Working Conditions
- Spend approximately 95% of the day on his/her feet, walking and standing.
- Responsiveness to reasonable job-related directives given to the employee by the supervisor

Salary and Other Compensation:
The target rate for this position is between $65,450 to $104,550/year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
