Title: Rotating Equipment Technician
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $83,000 - $115,000
Schedule: 4-10s

Focus: The Rotating Equipment Technician will focus on reliability improvement for their assigned scope of responsibility, to minimize the long-term cost of ownership.

Rotating Equipment Technician Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
  • Ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. are provided and documented. Provide technical support as needed to oversee and perform Quality Control on OEM or outside shop repairs.
  • Ensure repair techniques, repair procedures, and equipment specific training are documented and made available.
  • Maintain and assist in development of PPM plans/modules and consulted on documentation of PPM changes in SAP. Assist in risk assessments for given sets of equipment.
  • Assist in developing and executing Equipment Maintenance Strategies (ERS) for rotating equipment. Including reviewing spare parts list for existing equipment and work with MRO to ensure parts are identified, added, and stocked in the MRO system in support of the maintenance strategy.

Rotating Equipment Technician Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years relevant mechanical or maintenance experience.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in rotating equipment and hands on repair experience.
  • Proficient user of SAP (MSINS, WOIS, MSMS) and strong Excel and Word application skills preferred. Willing to attend training courses to maintain and improve knowledge.
  • Must posses a valid US Driver's license and ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Willingness to travel to assist on repairs and turnarounds.
  • Prior Olin experience preferred.
