The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Proposal Developer - Power & Renewable within Enterprise Operational Services (EOS). The Proposal Developer - Power & Renewables will be responsible for driving and managing the development of technical proposals and project cost estimates in collaboration with the sales and technical teams. The objective of this position is to produce high-quality competitive proposals by using tools and templates to create project deliverables and cost estimates. Additionally, this role will research, analyze, write, and edit project proposals and documents to ensure they meet client requirements and differentiate Ulteig's service offerings. The Proposal Developer - Power & Renewables will also have the opportunity to participate in continuous improvements of the proposal processes.

What You'll Do



  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the proposal process and timelines, ensuring accountabilities for all stakeholders.
  • Review proposal requests to determine what information and documentation may be missing and what documentation is required in the proposal response. Aid in troubleshooting missing and invalid RFP information with sales team members.
  • Initiates and leads the draft proposal response document and draft estimate creation efforts and collaborates with the pursuit team to ensure the accuracy of inputs.
  • Partners with technical, sales, and field services teams to secure input from all stakeholders.
  • Optimize scope to address client needs and ensure the proposal response is clear and compelling.
  • Maintain company-wide consistency for proposals, templates, corporate guidelines, and other standards and industry best practices.
  • Prepare proposal development plan (PDP), manage assignments, manage communication, and overall development and organization of the proposal response.
  • Research, analyze, plan, assemble, write, and edit proposals and documents that are informative and persuasive while conforming to guidelines, templates, and the company's brand standards.
  • Utilize the proposal database for content to serve as the basis for proposal responses.
  • Develop drafts of proposals and other related sales documents to ensure proper messaging, accuracy, consistency, and quality according to company and marketing guidelines. Prior to releasing documents as final, submit working drafts to stakeholders as appropriate for final review and revision. Makes necessary revisions in documents.
  • Manage/facilitate subcontractor elements of a proposal, as needed.
  • Lead internal opportunity-specific meetings (i.e., proposal kickoff and progress meetings).
  • Participate in the development of new processes, efficiency tools, and databases at the team and company level.
  • All other duties as assigned.



What We Expect from You



  • Degree in Communication, Marketing, or Technology (Bachelor or Associates) or technical field related to Power or Renewable Energy industries.
  • 2 or more years of experience in proposals, project management, and/or engineering in the Power or Renewable Energy industries.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to develop and foster lasting effective working relationships with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Follows Shipley Color Review proposal process.
  • Strong business acumen: project management, proposals, and consulting engineering.
  • Client-centric oriented behavior.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft software programs and add-ins (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator).
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse work groups as well as manage by influence.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity. Has the ability to work through ambiguity to clarify and determine a path forward.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality output(s) while handling multiple tasks/priorities under specific time constraints.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $76,800 - $103,900
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job-specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role, and comparison to other employees already in this role
