The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Tarry Town, NY

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hourly Rate: $22.00

What we're looking for

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required

  • Experience: 1+ years' customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience is preferred.

  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation required

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Flexibility, motivation, and the ability to work independently.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

  • Replenish consumable lab inventory and manage stockroom supplies

  • Coordinate shipping/receiving with third-party couriers

  • Handle and manage chemicals, including hazardous materials

  • Operate forklift (training provided if needed)

  • Enter orders and track backorders using various Inventory Management systems

  • Maintain safety stations and cleanroom garments

  • Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Provide excellent customer service with clear communication

  • Follow all safety, health, and security protocols

  • Wear required PPE and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

  • Work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$45,000.00 - $74,900.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
