Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Manager
Location: Plaquemine, LA
Salary: $150,000 - $210,000 plus additional bonus

Focus: The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager oversees EH&S, Emergency Response, and Security at the Plaquemine facility to meet business, corporate, and financial objectives. This leadership role emphasizes behavioral safety improvements and regulatory compliance, while directly managing the EH&S team's performance, planning, and problem resolution.
Environmental, Health & Safety Manager Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and sustain EH&S systems focused on personal safety, process safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring alignment with all regulatory and corporate standards.
- Direct development and execution of the facility's environmental compliance strategy, including permitting, reporting, and regulatory liaison responsibilities.
- Foster a strong safety culture through incident investigations, audits, and continuous improvement using leading indicators and root cause analysis.
- Oversee site security and emergency preparedness, including response drills and coordination with stakeholders.
- Provide strategic direction and performance oversight for the EH&S team.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, DOT, and RCRA, offering expertise in hazardous operations and process safety and acts as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and authorities.
- Manage contractor safety and ensure integration with site EH&S programs.
Environmental, Health & Safety Manager Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree* in Technical or Management discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of related experience in EH&S, Maintenance or Production roles in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years in an EH&S leadership role required.
- Experience with PSM-covered processes required
- Integrated multi-facility site experience highly preferred. Louisiana, Texas, or Gulf Coast regulatory experience highly preferred.
- Ability to offer subject matter expertise in all aspects of Process and Personal Safety, Health, Security and Environmental issues. Knowledge of OSHA PSM, DOT, EPA RMP and RCRA waste regulations required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong US regulatory/compliance experience. Experience managing regulatory operating permits and licenses (i.e., Federal Title V, NPDES, Radiation, etc.)
- Crisis management experience and adaptability under pressure.
- Must be able to obtain or currently hold a valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) and possess a valid US driver's license.
