Visiting Lecturer

The School Psychology Program at Texas Woman's University invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer position in our APA-accredited PhD and NASP-accredited Specialist (SSP) training programs, housed in the School of Social Work, Psychology, and Philosophy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Visiting Lecturer position is a temporary faculty position dedicated to supporting the program's preparation for reaccreditation processes. The person in this role will provide accreditation support and will work closely with program faculty and administrators to organize, compile, and review required documentation, manage timelines, coordinate meetings, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. The position does not include any teaching responsibilities and is focused solely on accreditation support for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and assist in gathering and organizing accreditation documentation and evidence.
  • Support the development and review of self-study reports and related materials.
  • Track progress on accreditation tasks and deadlines.
  • Facilitate communication between faculty, staff, and accrediting bodies.
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and record-keeping for accreditation-related meetings and site visits.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accreditation requirements.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience with accreditation, program evaluation, or higher education administration strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.


SCHOOL INFORMATION
The School of Social Work, Psychology, and Philosophy at TWU is housed within the College of Arts and Sciences, which has 35% of TWU's graduate and undergraduate population of over 15,000. The Division of Psychology and Philosophy has 16 full-time faculty, over 400 undergraduate psychology majors, and five graduate programs: Master's in counseling psychology, Master's in Psychological Science, Specialist in School Psychology (NASP-accredited), Doctoral Counseling Psychology (APA-accredited) and Doctoral School Psychology (APA-accredited, NASP-approved).
