JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student for research opportunities in the Materials Science and Applications Division of the Applied Research Lab (ARL) at Penn State . These positions cover a broad range of engineering and material science disciplines with various activities within the Materials Science and Applications Division. Typical duties for a broad range of programs involving various aspects of metal based additive manufacturing including directed energy deposition, laser-based powder bed fusion, and additive repair. The successful candidates will work up to 40 hours/week over the summer and 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters. Minimally requires a Bachelors Degree and in an Engineering or Science discipline and be enrolled in a Masters of Engineering (MEng), Master of Science (MS), or Ph.D. program.
