The Opportunity: The Department of Physical Sciences at the DB Campus invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the area of Control Theory and its Applications. This position supports ongoing research efforts in advanced feedback control design and implementation, with particular emphasis on thermo-mechanical systems. The successful candidate will also assist in mentoring students and supporting hands-on projects within the Engineering Physics Propulsion Laboratory (EPPL). Key Responsibilities:
Conduct original research in control theory with an emphasis on applications to complex, dynamic systems. Design and simulate feedback control algorithms for thermo-mechanical systems and related applications. Collaborate with faculty and student teams to support control-related experiments in EPPL. Assist in the preparation of research publications and technical reports. Contribute to the development of software and hardware systems for real-time control applications. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to students working on control systems projects.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Ph.D. or other doctorate level equivalent in the area of Control Theory and its Applications
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
- Knowledge of control theory
- Ability to analytically design feedback control algorithms for complex systems including thermo-mechanical systems
- Skills in performing simulations of control systems using MATLAB or other similar software
- Skills in learning and using Fluent, Ansys or other similar software
- Moderate abilities for software-hardware implementation of control systems.
- Ability to guide students' projects in the lab environment.
