David Evans and Associates (DEA) is seeking an experienced Transmission Service Leader to oversee the operations, strategic direction, and technical excellence of our electrical transmission group. This individual will play a key leadership role in guiding project execution, driving quality, mentoring staff, and supporting the continued growth and development of DEA's power delivery services. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Ensure technical excellence across all transmission projects, including the quality and consistency of deliverables.
- Quality Management: Develop and implement tools, processes, and best practices to enhance quality control and workflow efficiency.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team of engineers and technicians. Participate in recruitment and hiring activities.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership on long-term planning, resource allocation, and policy development to promote group growth and operational efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal engineering teams and collaborate with external contractors, vendors, and consultants. Support QA/QC initiatives across the Energy Business Unit.
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage a wide range of transmission projects including system upgrades, maintenance, and emergency response, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Client Engagement: Maintain strong client relationships, respond to inquiries, and work closely with stakeholders to define and implement service improvements.
- Supervision: Directly supervise and support the career growth of engineers and technical staff, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical transmission systems, including supervisory or management roles.
- Proven expertise in transmission system design, operations, and technologies.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully developing and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects of varying complexity.
- Proficiency with transmission-related tools and software (e.g., SCADA, EMS).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, including NERC and FERC reliability requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

- Potential salary range depending on experience and location is $185,000-$230,000
- The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
