Sigma Defense is seeking a Safety Specialist with strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations, safety principles/practices/procedures, and occupational health policies/programs/practices to join our team in Fayetteville, NC.

This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations, safety principles, practices, and procedures, and occupational health policies, programs, and practices.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Technical degree from an accredited college or university in Physical Science or related field of study.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.

Essential Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)

  • Meet all facility OSHA regulations, state fire and safety regulations, as well as local fire and safety regulations at time of inspection.
  • Ensure the facilities remain in compliance during the life of the contract.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safety of all company employees, other working personnel, and Government property.
  • Make certain that all safety requirements are met, safety equipment is provided, and safety procedures are documented as part of the quality management system without Government assistance.
  • Responsible for securing the scene and impounding evidence/wreckage until released by the COR or on-site Government representative.
  • Immediately report any accidents involving Government or contractor personnel injuries or property/equipment damage to the Contracting Officer and COR.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 annually.
