Position Overview As a Manager of Writing, you'll help inspire and elevate a team of writers to bring our brand to life across every touchpoint. You will blend high-level vision with hands-on execution-defining the tone, messaging, and storytelling that resonates with our audiences while ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across digital, product, and marketing experiences The Manager of UX Writing is a strategic and detail-driven leader who inspires and elevates a team of writers to bring our brand to life across every touchpoint. This role blends high-level vision with hands-on execution-defining the tone, messaging, and storytelling that resonates with our audiences while ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across digital, product, and marketing experiences. You will guide tone, voice, and narrative structure across digital experiences and brand communications, helping to ensure alignment across channels. Your writing is deeply empathetic and grounded in a strong understanding of customer mindsets, needs, and expectations. You lead focusing on the user at the center, creating content that builds trust, reduces confusion, and empowers patients and providers to make more confident decisions. You excel at balancing both the macro and micro levels of marketing and UX copywriting. You can drive a unified brand vision while staying hands-on with the executional details. You'll craft bold, emotional messaging for upper-funnel marketing experiences and write clear, compelling UX copy that drives interaction across websites, mobile apps, email, and SMS. Your approach is rooted in continuous iteration, testing, and problem solving, with an eye toward both business impact and user outcomes. You're as comfortable concepting storytelling frameworks as you are refining button copy or subject lines. As a collaborative writing leader, you'll work closely with Designers, Content Strategists, Product Managers, Marketing, and Business stakeholders. You'll navigate complex business, regulatory, and user challenges and lead initiatives across digital, marketing, and product design. You will bring people and disciplines together, helping teams shape user experiences that are accessible, inclusive, and effective. Your work will span everything from defining microinteractions to guiding large-scale content systems across both owned and partner platforms. As a people leader, you'll be responsible for recruiting, mentoring, and developing individuals-helping writers grow their craft and careers while ensuring the team delivers high-quality, compliant content at scale. You know how to bring out the best in others, balancing strategic oversight with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute to the work directly. You have a track record of developing brand personalities, delivering scalable messaging systems and frameworks that bring clarity, consistency, and compassion to every interaction. Your leadership empowers writers and cross-functional teams to execute content that's not only effective but deeply human. You should be prepared to share a portfolio that showcases your ability to simplify complexity, bring strategy to life through words, and shape experiences that resonate with diverse audiences. Salary Range: $129,000.00 - $208,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
