We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic IT infrastructure team supporting both on-premises and cloud environments. This role is critical to maintaining and evolving the company's hybrid infrastructure, ensuring the reliability of mission-critical applications while contributing to ongoing cloud transformation initiatives.
This role is part of a critical initiative supporting a dual-track cloud transformation strategy. While the organization builds out a modern Azure Bicep-based cloud environment, the Azure Cloud Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the existing hybrid infrastructure that still hosts the majority of the company's mission-critical applications. The engineer will ensure system reliability, manage updates, and prevent downtime that could impact core business operations. This is a high-visibility opportunity to contribute to both stability and innovation within a rapidly evolving IT landscape. Key Responsibilities * Maintain, support, and plan for on-prem and cloud-based server and middleware environments. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Security, Software Development, and Infrastructure to deliver secure and scalable solutions. * Participate in the design and implementation of cloud architecture, tools, and processes. * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members. * Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud and systems engineering. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent work experience. * 3+ years of experience in IT systems engineering and/or cloud environments. * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft M365 technologies. * Proficiency in server and cloud virtualization technologies. * Experience working in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. * Strong knowledge of Windows Server and workstation operating systems. * Onsite 5 days a week for first three months. Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity with ITIL or Agile methodologies. * Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). * Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and enterprise-level system design. * Experience with DevOps practices and tools. Skills & Attributes * Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent planning, organizational, and communication abilities. * Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented. * Ability to handle confidential data and lift up to 50 lbs if needed. **Cannot support C2C on this role. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
